Russia’s Novokuznetsk International Mining Exhibition

Since its inaugural edition in 1993, the International Mining Machinery Exhibition of Novokuznetsk, Russia (UGOL ROSSII & MINING) has been held annually and has successfully reached its 33rd edition to date. The exhibition enjoys strong support from the Government of the Russian Federation as well as mining associations from various countries. In 2025, the exhibition will cover an area of approximately 85,000 square meters, with over 800 participating companies. During the four-day event, the exhibition welcomed more than 70,000 professional visitors from around the world. The main product categories on display encompass specialized machinery, tools, and services from over 30 industries, including handling equipment, mining machinery and accessories, heavy-duty mining equipment, transportation machinery, raw material processing equipment and supplies, storage and raw material handling systems, safety, health, and environmental protection equipment, surface equipment, general-purpose machinery, power transmission and control systems, electrical automation technologies, electrical engineering and electronic manufacturing equipment, construction machinery and accessories, logistics equipment, rubber machinery, pneumatic tools, hand tools, and more.
Novokuznetsk is located in the Kuznetsk Coal Basin, commonly known as Kuzbass. The Kuznetsk Coal Basin is Russia’s largest coal-producing region. It boasts the country’s largest industrial coal reserves, with coking coal accounting for more than half of Russia’s total industrial reserves. The coal seams are thick and of excellent quality, making this region Russia’s largest heavy-industry base east of the Ural Mountains. In recent years, as Russia’s mining market has grown, there has been an urgent demand for mining machinery and equipment both within Russia and in neighboring regions. The existing mining machinery and equipment can no longer meet the needs of this market—equipment types such as drilling rigs, ore-processing plants, mining machines, and ore-concentrating facilities are in short supply, leaving a significant gap in the market. Under these market conditions, this exhibition not only provides enterprises with an excellent platform to showcase their products but also offers them a valuable opportunity to enter the Russian and neighboring markets.
