The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Machinery Sub-council (CCPIT Machinery Sub-council) and China Chamber of International Commerce Machinery Chamber of Commerce (CCOIC Machinery Chamber of Commerce), was founded in 1988 upon approval by the former Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry of China and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). As one of the first national-level, industry-specific trade promotion agencies authorized by the Chinese government, it currently conducts trade promotion activities under the leadership of the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and the guidance of the CCPIT.

Since its establishment, the CCPIT Machinery Sub-council has adhered to the principle of "serving national economy and national diplomacy". It has fully played the role of a bridge and tie, actively promoting trade, investment, and economic and technological cooperation activities between China and other countries and regions in the machinery industry and related fields, and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and people as well as the economic and trade circles all over the world. In response to changes in domestic and international situations as well as industry development across different periods, it has continuously adjusted service scope, expanded service areas, innovated service forms, and improved service quality, working tirelessly to meet the needs of Chinese and global machinery industry enterprises.

The Establishment

1988

On June 28, the founding general assembly of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade’s (CCPIT) Branches for Mechanical & Electronic Industries, Light Industry, Textiles, Agriculture, and Automotive Industries was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Our association is among the first batch of industry branches established by the CCPIT.

1993

In June, it was renamed the Machinery Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

2001

The China National Machinery Industry Federation has been established. Our association will be administered by the China National Machinery Industry Federation as a public institution, continuing to deepen reform and promoting the development of trade promotion endeavors.
