The Mexico International Industrial Manufacturing Exhibition (Expo Manufactura), organized by Informa, has successfully held 29 editions to date. In 2025, the exhibition will cover an area of 29,000 square meters and attract more than 600 companies, including internationally renowned brands such as ABB, Haimer, IPG, RENISHAW, FESTO, GROB, HEXAGON, IBM, Mitutoyo, SCHUNK, UR, and Bosch Rexroth. The exhibition drew 16,263 professional visitors from 48 countries and regions, representing a 7.27% increase over the previous edition. Among them, visitors from the United States, China, Brazil, Portugal, and Germany ranked in the top five. Automation robots, metalworking equipment, and industrial maintenance were the top three areas of greatest interest among visitors.
Manufacturing is a pillar industry of Mexico’s economy. More than 80% of Mexico’s export revenue and roughly one-quarter of its GDP come from manufacturing, which encompasses over 20 sectors including steel, automobiles, chemicals, electronics, metalworking, machinery manufacturing, papermaking, rubber, pharmaceuticals, and others. Mexico is the world’s seventh-largest automobile production base, ranking among the top globally in both light- and heavy-duty vehicle production, and it is also the fourth-largest producer of automotive parts. According to Chinese customs statistics, in 2023, the total value of China-Mexico goods trade reached 100.2 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 6% year-on-year. China’s exports to Mexico totaled 81.5 billion U.S. dollars, up 5.7% year-on-year.
